One of my favorite dresses I wore to a wedding last October was from Amazon. I also recently went to a fundraiser where the dress was Cocktail attire +, and my favorite dress of the evening was a gold glittery ball gown from Amazon.
A few rules and tips for fall wedding guest dress attire:
- White is off limits, unless it’s specifically requested in the invitation (I have seen it done, but this is a strict rule you absolutely cannot break. The only exception to wearing white to a wedding is if you’re the bride, or if the bride requests it).
- Off-white is off limits, too. Unless it’s a champagne color.
- Don’t be afraid to go sleeveless. Just because it’s fall or winter doesn’t mean you have to stick with sleeves. If the wedding is outdoors, you can get a shawl or coverup to keep you warm. But sleeveless, off the shoulder, and thinner straps work perfectly fine in the fall and winter months, too.
- Above all, be comfortable. There’s nothing worse than skipping the dance floor because your heels are killing your feet, or your dress doesn’t allow for a lot of movement. Pick something that you can comfortable move around for any given length of time.
It just goes to show you don’t have to spend tons of money to look amazing. Here are some top finds from your favorite affordable places to shop.
